Payton is a digital content creator with over three years of experience in the media world. She specializes in videography, photography, post-production, and design.

She graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Consumer Marketing. Payton entered college with little insight into the world of digital marketing, but quickly grew her skillset and by her senior year, produced her own web show about the best things to do around the city of Akron. Payton feels most comfortable seeing the world through her camera lens and capturing the stories around her—wherever that might take her. So far, it’s taken her to bustling newsrooms, saltwater shark tanks, and mysterious documentary sets. Her passion for serving her community combined with her love of storytelling led her to Downtown Akron Partnership where she worked with her team to uplift local businesses and build community engagement.

Payton is a two-time Student Production Emmy Award-winning producer for her Akron-focused content. With a passion for Akron and a love of the people in this community, she is dedicated to telling the unique stories of our city.

Payton lives in Downtown Akron with her books and plants.
