Lindsey Phillips

Director of Operations

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Lindsey earned a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University and MBA from Baker University. After meeting her Cleveland-based-now-husband on Facebook in 2005, she moved 1,000 miles to Akron, Ohio in 2008.

Her passion for investigation led to a hunger for finding resolutions to complex problems, which quickly grew to managing operations, mergers and acquisitions, and process improvement for FirstMerit Bank. After 16 years in Corporate Banking, she felt a calling to impact Akron in a bigger way and “jumped” to run operations at World Relief Akron, a non-profit refugee resettlement agency.

You could say all the AOL instant messaging with a cute boy in college fueled a love for communication and social media. That, along with a passion for learning, has motivated various side hustles including: co-founding a local bakery, launching a social media platform for a non-profit, social media consulting for the KOMAE app; and most recently, she became a Certified Life Coach and founded Reverse Women, an organization that teaches women authenticity and vulnerability. A background of operations and communications led to the dream job at Amp!

Lindsey has contributed to the Akron community through Torchbearers, United Way iC.A.R.E., Women’s Network Community Leadership Institute, the Operations Committee at Citizens Akron, current Board service for the Rape Crisis Center, and previous Board service for Rahab Ministries and Women’s Network of NE Ohio.

Lindsey lives in West Akron with her husband Antoine, daughter Soleil (so-lay; you’re welcome), son Archer, cat Princess Fiona, and dog Coco.
